My fee for individual therapy (50 minutes) is $250.  My fee for relationship therapy (60 minutes) is $300.  I charge a prorated fee for longer sessions. My fees are in line with other Bay Area therapists with similar education, training and experience.  I am not in-network with any insurance companies. If you’d like to connect with me, please fill out this brief form.

I realize that quality therapy can be a big expense for a lot of people.  I am very happy to provide my clients with receipts they can submit directly to their insurance companies in order to receive partial reimbursement.  Plans vary wildly, however, most PPO insurance plans reimburse approximately 60-70% of the fee once a person has reached their out of pocket deductible. Therapy can also be paid for with pre-tax dollars from your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA).

I strongly believe that quality therapy should be accessible to everyone. If my fee is beyond your financial means but you’d like therapy, please reach out as I do set aside a portion of my practice for people in need of lower fee slots. I also work with some pre-licensed associates who have more fee flexibility. Please see the “Associates” page for links to my colleague’s websites.  The Bay Area also has some well staffed training programs with a lot of fee flexibility and I’d be happy to connect you.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under a new 2022 law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask me, or any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about the Good Faith Estimate program you can contact www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
